TRY A LITTLE BIT OF COMFORT AT COMFORTS FARM
2pm Fri 12th September to 2pm Sunday 14th at Comforts Farm, Pallance Rd, Northwood. PO31 8LS
This is Dan and Amy’s Wedding Anniversary weekend so we will be all celebrating with them. They will be stewarding for their Anniversary celebration. Further details to follow. Last year the Saturday morning coffee meet was changed for a very different socialising on the lawn in the afternoon which could(and we hope it does) happen again. Dan and Amy will be feeding us a meal on the Saturday evening.
The facilities are simple, clean and functional with three men’s and three ladies showers in the main ablution block. The primary source of water heating is solar backed up by gas and electric which means even when the camp site is at it’s busiest a hot shower is always available. There are basic laundry facilities in the washing up room with spin drier, ironing board and deep sinks.
The camping field is 9 acres of unspoilt meadow, tree lined and flanked to the north by ancient coppice. From the top, the field is gently sloping and levels out in the middle. The bottom of the field slopes off and plateaus in a few places before the boundary river. Some pitches are slightly sloping so levelling blocks/chocks are advised,
Electric points are available, the majority being around the outside of the field to the east and south in generously sized pitches. There are two further WC blocks at the outer reaches of the field for those who require “solitude”.
It’s just a short walk from the site to the Award winning Travellers Joy Pub, slightly uphill there which means its easier on the way back as its downhill.
It’s £24 PUN with EHU or £20 PUPN no EHU.
