Temporary holiday site 2020
Come and join us at our THS at the Dairyman’s Daughters Cottage Camp site, from Thursday July 23 to Thursday August 20, The site is a quiet pleasant level green field , having water and waste facilities but no EHU in the THS field, there is also a dog exercise area.
The site is situated on the A 3056 Next to a Suzuki Garage, you can find it here: https://goo.gl/maps/Evqsn94qgMGBq2o37
Conveniently the site has Bus stops by the site entrance for buses that can take you into Newport or towards Sandown and a Morrisons super market, also close by is the Fighting Cocks Pub for good meals as well as a Thomson’s Garden centre which has a cafe, and Amazon World Zoo where can be seen a wide range of animals and they also have a large play area for children too.
So many events take place on the island at this time of year but amongst them two stand out during the THS time. Cowes week, August 8 to 15, and the Garlic Festival (which is near the THS site) August 15 & 16.
No lack of Isle of Wight Carnivals ether :
July 25, Sandown Carnival
August 4, Shanklin Carnival
August 6, Cowes Carnival
August 12, Ventnor Carnival
Always plenty to see and do on the Isle of Wight, many walks and cycle paths criss cross the island often in areas designated as being of outstanding natural beauty, there are many mostly dog friendly pubs, a wide variety of eating establishments catering for most tastes and of course the famous beaches and the many children’s attractions.
Costs for the THS are £12.00 per day per unit, Its advisable to book in early, particularly if you are planning to visit the Garlic Festival
